Your Guide to High Brow Society – Microblading
Author: Melanie Wagner – Lead Aesthetician One Wellness
Sick of spending long troublesome minutes in the morning to get that perfect full brow? We have over plucked, shaved, penciled, and powdered…..uhhh!
Let me tell you a little about a low maintenance way to finally have the brows you always wanted.
Microbading !! Woohoo!!
Also known as ‘eyebrow embroidery’ is a semi-permanent procedure that gives definition and fullness to your thin, uneven brows. Its all about brow tattooing to get your brows reshaped and looking naturally fabulous.
How does it work?
Microblading is a simple procedure that involves a tiny scalpel-like tool used to create hair strokes that mimic your own hair strokes. Once the tiny cuts have filled empty gaps in your brow, a tattoo pigment is implemented in the outer layer of the skin. Done skillfully by our highly trained and talented aestheticians, no one would guess you have tattooed brows.
Is it painful?
Most clients only experience very mild pain; similar to the feeling you get when tweezing your eyebrows. We also use a mild anesthetic which is applied on the skin before the procedure to lessen the sensation.
How long does it take?
When creating that perfect full brow shape, the aesthetician will take her time to make them perfect. Overall, the process will take about 2 hours.
After the procedure, the brow will seem oddly darker with a little swelling and redness around the brow. You may also experience some scabbing. Do not be alarmed as this is completely normal. The swelling, redness, darker color, and possible scabbing will fade once your brows have fully healed. We will also some home care for the first 24 hours.
It’s a beautiful life
You now have full, beautiful brows!! Your new brows can be washed, brushed and treated as you would natural brows. Only one more follow up is required 4-6 weeks after your initial procedure afterwards, results can last 1-2 years!
