How Should I Use the Facilities?

There are endless ways to get the most out of the Recovery Zone, but we recommend the following:

Start fully-clothed with activities wearing athletic gear:

1) 20 minute warm-up

  • Choose from a variety of cardio machines such as spin bike, treadmill, elliptical, rowing machine.

2) 30 minute workout

  • Take advantage of our functional fitness facility if desired.

3) 20 minute Vibration Mobility Therapy

  • Choose from massage gun, vibrating balls or vibrating foam roller
  • Must be signed out at our front desk with a piece of your ID or a credit card.

4) 15-20 minute Compression Therapy

  •  Use our Normatec 3 compression sleeves in our relaxing compression lounge area on a lovely leather chaise.
  • Must be signed out at our front desk.

5) 20 minute Infrared Sauna

  • Infrared sauna requires a reservation either through our online booking system or at front desk.

Continue with activities in your swim suit:

6) 45 minute Contrast Hydrotherapy = Hot/Cold Therapy

  • Contrast hydrotherapy is the alternating of heat and cold application to achieve an invigorating vascular flush effect for the whole body.
  • Heat causes our blood vessels to dilate (get bigger), allowing circulation to increase, bringing fresh oxygen and nutrients to body tissues.
  • Cold causes our blood vessels to constrict (get smaller), gently forcing blood back to the heart and lungs where carbon dioxide and metabolic waste can be excreted from the body.
  • Alternate between heat (infrared sauna, cedar sauna, aromatherapy steam room) and cold (polar plunge), starting with heat and ALWAYS ending with cold.
  • Repeat this cycle 3 times for best results. The ideal ratio is 10 min heat to 3 min cold, however, listen to your body and do what is comfortable for you.

7) 20 minute Recovery Lounge

  • Take a moment to enjoy the effects of Recovery Zone in the serenity of the Recovery Lounge.
  • Enjoy a complementary tea in our relaxation haven.

Keep the following principles in mind and create your own Recovery Zone Routine!

1) Divide your visit into DRY & WET

2) HEAT then COLD, Repeat 3 times, ALWAYS ending with COLD

3) Stay Hydrated

4) Enjoy Every Minute!
