Carol sees her work as being a body mechanic, which is such a dynamic job as everyone is so different! Carol works with her patients to find the mechanical overload to the body that is the source of injury. She then uses her extensive manual therapy skills to help restore more efficient loading of the body, complemented by restorative techniques such as acupuncture, massage, GIMS dry needling, and ultrasound to boost healing. Carol will help improve mobility and strength through a specialized exercise program to move your body towards functioning at its greatest potential. Her goal is to help patients to help themselves find physical freedom of motion. Whether you are a high-level athlete, or a person trying to optimize your day-to-day function, she has a wide range of assessment and treatment skills to help you reach your goals of lifetime physical literacy!
Over 30 years ago, Carol was drawn to the physiotherapy profession by a fascination of the complexity and resilience of the human body. She is still amazed today by the capacity of the human body to overcome injury when pointed in the correct direction and loaded progressively.
