Dr. Connie LeBrun is a Sports Medicine physician dedicated to helping active individuals prevent, diagnose, and recover from musculoskeletal injuries and medical conditions. She provides evidence-based care for patients of all activity levels—from recreational exercisers and weekend warriors to competitive athletes—with the goal of helping them return safely to the activities they enjoy.
Dr. LeBrun is a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta. She earned her medical degree from McGill University in Montreal before completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of British Columbia.
With a longstanding passion for sports medicine education and research, Dr. LeBrun has particular interests in the health of active girls and women, concussion assessment and return-to-play, and the prevention and management of sports-related injuries. She is an active collaborator with the Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre (SIPRC) at the University of Calgary, contributing to ongoing concussion research.
