What Is Regenerative Medicine?
Regenerative medicine focuses on stimulating the body's natural healing processes to repair damaged tissues, reduce inflammation, and improve joint and soft tissue health. Rather than masking symptoms, these treatments aim to address the underlying structural causes of pain and dysfunction, particularly in cases where conservative therapies have not produced lasting results.
Musculoskeletal (MSK) care covers a broad range of conditions affecting muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. At One Wellness, regenerative and MSK treatments are offered alongside physiotherapy and exercise physiology, which means your care plan can be coordinated across disciplines depending on what your recovery requires.
These therapies are well-suited for chronic injuries, joint degeneration, nerve pain, soft tissue conditions, and post-surgical recovery that has plateaued with physiotherapy alone.
Regenerative Medicine at One Wellness
Dr. Zuzana Triska brings a rare combination of medical and rehabilitation training to her practice at One Wellness. She holds an MD, CCFP, a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, and a Master of Physiotherapy, which means she approaches each patient with both a physician's diagnostic lens and a physiotherapist's understanding of movement and function.
All injection therapies at One Wellness are delivered with ultrasound guidance, which improves precision and therapeutic effect. Dr. Triska conducts a thorough MSK consultation before recommending any injectable therapy, and treatment plans are individualized based on diagnosis, imaging where relevant, and your goals for recovery and function.
Initial consultations and select follow-up treatments may be covered by Alberta Health Services. Some advanced injectable therapies are offered as private-pay services. Dr. Triska will review coverage with you during your consultation.

What Regenerative Medicine Can Help With
Reduced pain and improved joint function. Conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendinopathy, and chronic ligament instability often respond well to injectable therapies, with improvements in pain levels and range of motion over several weeks following treatment.
Accelerated soft tissue repair. PRP and prolotherapy support healing in tendons, ligaments, and cartilage by delivering concentrated growth factors or stimulating a controlled inflammatory response at the injury site.
Return to activity. For athletes and active individuals, the goal is a return to the demands of sport or daily life. Dr. Triska works alongside One Wellness's physiotherapy and exercise physiology teams to support a full recovery pathway where needed.
