Worker's Compensation Board Funded Physiotherapy
We provide WCB billing on your behalf for physiotherapy services.
If you have been injured in the workplace in Alberta, you may be eligible for physiotherapy treatment funded by the Worker's Compensation Board.
What to do if you are injured in the workplace:
1) Report an injury
2) Book an appointment with any of our physiotherapists for a "WCB Initial Assessment" by clicking the "BOOK NOW" button in the top menu bar
Once you have reported your injury or illness to your employer and WCB, we will review your claim. This review includes making initial decisions on benefits and informing you of the status of your claim. If an adjudicator or case manager is assigned to your claim, they will be your contact at WCB—you can call them directly for all questions or updates on your claim.
Once your claim is accepted you may be entitled to benefits. These can vary depending on the seriousness of your work injury as well as the impact of it on your ability to continue working. Your adjudicator and/or case manager will review your claim to ensure that you receive the right benefits at the right time during your recovery.
Cancellation Policy
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the practitioners' day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
Patients accessing WCB direct-billed services who provide 12-24 hours notice, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of a regular physiotherapy appointment.
Patients accessing WCB direct-billed services who provide less than 12 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee equal to the cost of a regular physiotherapy appointment.
Late cancellation or no show fees CANNOT be billed to WCB, and will be charged automatically to the card on file.
All clients/patients are required to have a card on file to uphold our clinic cancellation policy.
In the event your claim is declined by WCB, you are responsible for payment to One Wellness for any services and/or products provided.
